Mahmood Reza is an experienced working accountant, business, tax advisor and educator who owns and manages Pro Active Resolutions (PAR). PAR was formed in February 1995 and offers accounting, tax, management and training services to a variety of client sectors; it has a good strong staff team, strong infrastructure and a good network of associates. PAR is a Leicester based organisation with a regional, national and International reach.
Mahmood has an extensive teaching background stretching over thirty five years, he has taught at all educational levels, from vocational to professional, primary to post graduate. Mahmood has taught and trained professional accounting students (such as ACCA, CIMA, and ATT) to enable them to qualify and become members of their bodies; Mahmood has delivered professional accountancy training both in the UK and overseas.
Mahmood’s current professional teaching covers Advanced Performance Management, Financial Reporting, Cost and Management Accounting and Tax.
Mahmood has been a freelancer at Kaplan for over thirteen years, is an associate lecturer at Aston Business School, he has lectured on MBA courses, is a registered Oxford Brookes mentor and delivers a variety of seminars and workshops, from the technical to the non-technical.
On the International front Mahmood has carried out and been involved with a number of Consultancy and Training projects, these have included delivery of professional training in Russia; tax workshops to Senior Cuban Tax officials as part of a European Union funded project for the development of the Cuban Financial & Administrative Systems; development review for professional accountancy training in Tanzania, Kenya and the Seychelles.
Mahmood is actively involved in the governance of arts and educational establishments across the East Midlands and beyond, he has been involved in the charitable and creative and cultural sectors for over 30 years, in a working, professional and voluntary capacity. Mahmood also writes occasional articles on business, financial and business matters for Arts Professional, a leading national Arts management magazine, and publishes blogs.
Mahmood’s current (non-business interests) include reading, travelling, cycling, trying to keep fit and sports (mostly armchair version these days).
