Benchmarking
An often continuous process used in strategic planning. It is also known as 'best-practice benchmarking' or 'process benchmarking'. During the benchmarking process, organisations evaluate aspects of their processes in relation to best practice, usually within their own sector. Benchmarking allows the development of plans on how to adopt such best practice and to increase business performance.
