Tony Kay
PhD, MBA, BA (Hons), FinstD, MITD, MCILT
Tony is President of the London Management Centre. His early career combined high-level academic and advisory posts before moving into the business world as Chief Executive of Kays Group International (London). He has also chaired the College of English Education and Management Training (CEMT) and has presented papers at National and International conferences. Tony is an expert in organizational change and development, strategic thinking, HR management and leadership training. During his long career he undertook numerous consultations and training assignments around the world – in Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East. He frequently contributes to journals such as The Times Educational Supplement, The Arab Economist, Al-Khalej (UAE), Al-Qabas (Kuwait) and has narrated several documentary films on training and development.

Rita Bailey
MBA, BA (Hons), Dip. Psych.
Rita’s areas of expertise are in new project development, change management and performance. Her career spans the public, commercial and voluntary sectors, which has enabled her to see management issues from diverse perspectives. With this rich experience, Rita has developed projects for local and public authorities, charities and corporations such as London Docklands Development Corporation, Metropolitan Police Authority, Save the Children and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. |

Derek Bell
FCILT
Derek trained as a statistician and then followed a career in logistics, which included the post of Managing Director of P& O Distribution. His assignments with large corporations have included establishing a single EDC in Strasbourg for a major Swiss healthcare company, a major reorganization of fully automated storage at a European distribution centre in Belgium and preparing a world-wide logistics strategy for the supply of critical spare parts. Derek has also been involved in logistics projects for Cadbury Schweppes, Hoffman-La Roche and Yarpivo (Russia’s second largest brewery). |

Irene Bell
MA, MCIPD
Irene’s initial experience was in HR and Training Management, prior to becoming a Management Trainer. She has worked with such companies as Trailerent Ltd., Avis, Transfleet, Lex Service Group, HM Customs and Excise and Crown Agents. She has also lectured at the Open University and Bracknell and Wokingham College. As well as being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Irene has also qualified as a practitioner in Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Enneagram. She draws on the ideas of Transactional Analysis, Emotional Intelligence and Bio-Spiritual Focusing. |

Michael Bendry

Michael’s career has successfully combined industrial experience with higher education and business training. For over twenty years he lectured in Management Accounting at the Bristol Business School (University of the West of England) and during that time wrote books for Oxford University Press and Hussey and West. An expert in financial and economic appraisal of industrial projects, he has also undertaken a variety of assignments in the UK, Syria and Malaysia. |

Simon Bernadino

Simon specialises in negotiating and communication skills. His broad business background is in marketing, PR, and retail management. He developed a communication plan for AXA Insurance when he was Marketing Director at Publictalk — and has built and motivated teams for blue chip companies and organizations like Marks
and Spencer and the BBC. Simon also has a wealth of experience in teaching public speaking and has developed a presentation skills training video. |

Steven Breibart

Steven specialises in internal communication, culture change and corporate values — and has deployed his skills across many industry sectors. His career began in information technology working in technical roles — and by 2001 he had been appointed to the Information Systems Examinations Board Panel. He has delivered a number of HR and management projects to companies and organizations such as the London Underground and the British Bankers’ Association. Steven has also worked internationally in The Netherlands and Uzbekistan and writes for the journal, Effective Consulting. |

Colin Chambers

Colin graduated in Electrical Engineering and then built a career in operations and IT in the pharmaceutical industry, where he held a directorship in the Johnson and Johnson Corporation. This gave him considerable knowledge of warehousing, distribution, clinical trial organisation and pharmacy retail. He also worked on a Logistics Benchmarking initiative for Cranfield University. His supply chain background and focus on process have provided him with an invaluable blend of skills and experience. |

Mike Doyle

Mike is a senior management development consultant with extensive management experience in both the UK private and public sectors. His expertise is in human resource management, change management and strategic management. Mike has designed and developed a range of management training courses to meet client needs and had close research links with a number of UK universities. |

Stuart Esworthy

Stuart’s specialty is implementing new management strategies – from designing reward systems to delivering high performance leadership training and coaching. He has used his skills to great effect in organizations and blue chip companies like BAA, Merrill Lynch, Nationwide Building Society and Barclaycard. Harnessing his legal and organisational knowledge, his HR interests are in change management, psychometrics and coaching. He is also pioneering the fusion of theatrical techniques with mainstream management development work. |

Joe Gray
PhD, B.Sc, Dip. Safety & Hygiene, FRSH, FIOSH, MBOHS
Joe is course director for LMC Health and Safety programmes. His teaching specialty is health and safety and accident investigation. Joe has considerable experience in the offshore and onshore oil and gas industries. He worked for twenty years as Principal Inspector for the Health and Safety Executive in both the Offshore Safety and the Factories and Hazardous Substances Divisions. Joe has also delivered a number of projects to the BG Group, BP, British Wind Energy Association, Transco and KOTC among many others. |

Timothy Harris
PhD
Tim has considerable experience in management accounting, information technology and project management. He took his PhD at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and his academic career included a senior post at St. Andrew’s, Cambridge University. His key interest is in working with organisations to harness the power of information technology and he has developed projects for the Arts Council England, Essex County Council and Angloschool (London). His portfolio includes designing in-house training, creating distance learning materials, providing database solutions and implementing IT change management, for both profit and non-profit making organisations. |

Jenny Hughes
ACMA
Jenny is an expert in accountancy and financial training. Early in her accountancy career she moved into the television world, working first with Central Television and then as Financial Director and Deputy Managing Director of Carlton 021. For Carlton she developed a detailed plan for taking a division of Central Television into a new business as an independent Outside Broadcast Facility Company. More recently she has been involved with Entertainment On-line as Company Secretary and Finance Director. Jenny has had responsibility for a wide spectrum of business activities and therefore has valuable hands-on experience of setting up and developing new companies. |

Kyle Jaggers

Kyle specialises in training, mentoring, team building and coaching. His experience in the manufacturing and engineering sectors has included working on culture change programmes and leadership training as well as designing, writing and delivering customized training courses. He uses Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques and Time-line Therapy strategies to develop individuals and teams

Jeff has also delivered financial and management training solutions in the Middle East to include KPC and Riyadh Bank. |

John Mantikas

John has over twenty years’ experience in sales and marketing – including B2B sales, FMCG marketing sales and management. Following his education in marketing, his professional life started with Xerox and the Unilever Group. Moving into the banking and financial services sector, he was Marketing and Sales Director at Citibank – and it was here that his involvement in executive training and performance began. He later became CEO of Blue Planet and has delivered training projects to GE Capital, IBM and Star Internet, among others. John’s specialisms include: creating value in sales, breakthrough leadership and marketing and sales strategy. |

George Miller

George is a specialist in motivating individuals and teams. He played a major role in delivering BT’s leadership development programme during a successful fifteen-year business career. His management roles in BT were in their property and security directorates, where he designed and delivered training programmes and drove change initiatives. His most recent posts have included acting as an assessor for distance learning diplomas at Newcastle College. George’s areas of specialisation are in core management, supervisory and interpersonal skills. |

Patricia Murray

Patricia is the Course Director for LMC HR and Training programmes. She is a Senior Consultant specialising in manpower studies. During a twenty-year career at British Airways she focused on human resources, performance and change management. Qualified to work in a range of psychometrics — and with an understanding of the needs of both corporations and smaller companies – Her areas of expertise are in management development and training skills, including: leadership skills, team building, communications, negotiation, assertiveness, stress management and learning styles. |

Mahmood Reza

Mahmood is the LMC Course Director and Team Leader for Finance and Accounting Programmes. His main teaching areas are taxation, managerial finance and financial accounting. His career is a blend of both academic and practical experience in these fields and includes hands-on divisional management accountancy for a brewery. He held academic posts at Aston and De Montfort Universities, FE colleges and Reed Business School. Mahmood has also worked internationally, delivering tax workshops in Cuba and reviewing professional accountancy training in Tanzania, Kenya and the Seychelles. He also sits on a number of voluntary associations and is a regular contributor to Arts Professional – a leading UK arts magazine. |

Stephen Rinsler

Stephen is Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a visiting Fellow of the Royal Military School of Science He has extensive experience in the manufacturing, wholesaling and retail sectors, having worked for Unilever and NFC Europe (Exel) early in his career. His knowledge covers the entire supply chain — from procurement, forecasting and inventory management to warehousing and distribution operations. He has designed, developed, negotiated and implemented large scale purchasing and outsourcing contracts in the UK and across Europe and completed projects for a Middle East Utility. |

Gail has twenty years’ experience in the investment industry, including fixed income portfolio management, client servicing and business development in over sixty countries. During her career she moved up the management hierarchy with such organisations as N M Rothschild & Sons, Chase Manhattan Bank , Union Bank of Switzerland and Goldman Sachs where she was an executive director with global responsibility for business development . Gail is also a graduate of the Corporate Coach University which specialises in courses for coaching senior executives employing the latest human interactive technology. |

Frank Salisbury

Frank specialises in management development and coaching, sales process design and sales training. He has had over fifteen years’ experience with Abbey National that included developing personnel policy and training procedures and delivering change programmes. His in-depth knowledge of the financial services sector has been drawn from projects for banks and building societies: these have covered coaching programmes, the introduction of regulatory processes, website design, installation of a new call centre and induction programmes. He has written several books and magazine articles including Developing Managers
as Coaches, published by McGraw-Hill. |

Tim’s fascinating career has spanned the manufacturing, chemical, nuclear, rail, aviation and offshore sectors as well as many countries, including the European, North American and South African continents. Using this rich experience, Tim’s teaching specialism is human performance and change management. Companies and organizations such as Det Norske Veritas, Behavioural Science Technology International, the Defence Research Agency and NATO have benefited from his insight and from his passion for enhancing an organization’s performance through strong leadership skills. |

Cathy Sibley

Cathy is an experienced consultant in accountancy and financial services. Having started her career as a professional accountancy teacher she was later appointed a member ACCA’s core marking team and is now a marker for CIMA’s TOPCIMA. During her long career, Cathy worked with blue chip organisations such as Shell Oil in Brunei and Sakhalin Energy in Russia. Prior to her lecturing career Cathy was responsible for a small life assurance team with core responsibility of producing all figures for life and pensions business of Marks & Spencer financial services. She was also responsible for the financial reporting and unit pricing for the life, pensions and unit trust companies. This included DTI returns, statutory accounts and monthly reporting.

Paul Sykes

Paul’s career has been in sales, marketing and design, in countries including Sweden, Italy, Malaysia and Australia. He has recently specialised in setting up effective business partnerships for the Design Council. His first key role there was Development Manager for Business, leading partnership activity with the Institute of Directors and Confederation of British Industry. Paul then became National Campaign Manager for Business, where he added substantial value to businesses by setting up programmes and training. He has also been involved in the Council’s Design Immersion Programme. Paul won the Shell Petroleum, National Innovation for Business Award in 1991. |

Having started his career in chemical engineering, Charles then moved on to focus on finance in a number of organisations in both the private and public sectors. During his career he moved up the management hierarchy to occupy senior positions encompassing finance, general management and marketing. He is an examiner for the British Computer Society. Charles has worked extensively in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. |

Jacqui is a chartered health and safety practitioner who provides professional support to the management of a wide and diverse range of organisations. She is a lecturer for courses accredited by OPITO, IOSH, CIEH and the Norwich Law School, University of East Anglia. Jacqui is the author of Tolley’s Risk Assessment Workbook and is co-author of LexisNexis Managing a Diverse Workforce, as well as other publications in the health and safety field. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and is a Member of the Board of Governors of the IIRSM. |

Michael Welham

Mike’s career involved the offshore oil and gas contractor industry, both in the UK and overseas. He moved from being a contractor to that of a client when he joined Britoil Plc, a major oil and gas exploration and production company. This was followed by fifteen years as a Principal Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Since then, as an independent expert on health and safety, his recent clients have included Shell, BP and ConocoPhillips. Mike is an expert witness for criminal, coroners and civil courts and he has also been a magistrate for 14 years. He is the author of Tolley’s Corporate Killing: A Manager’s Guide to Legal Compliance. He is also co-author of The Poacher and the Gamekeeper – Leadership for Risk Mitigation in Occupational Health and Safety. |

Janet Weston

Janet specialises in teaching finance management and has considerable experience in lecturing as well as developing and implementing skills programmes. After qualifying in accountancy, she gained invaluable practical knowledge working as an accounts manager and financial controller. She has also set up courses for the Ministry of Defence and Westminster Healthcare. More recently Janet has delivered projects in the distance learning area: she has developed computer-based accountancy training courses as well as supported and assessed the work of home-based students. |

Martin Williams

Martin has considerable experience in both project management and chain management programmes. He has a strong commercial background and acquired his skills in the logistics and shipping industry. He spent over half his working life outside the UK in senior management positions in the US, the Netherlands, Norway and Japan. Martin has enjoyed the challenges of new company start-ups as well as implementing sophisticated global and regional supply chains for major manufacturers and retailers. He is currently Chairman of the Outsourcing and Procurement Forum of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. |
