Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
A strategy for understanding interpersonal communication by studying the mind (Neurological), words and structures of the language used (Linguistic), and the non verbal communication cues of the conscious and unconscious mind (Programming). By modelling and understanding these three sets of different behaviours in individuals, strategies can be developed to enhance certain areas of communication behaviour and increase personal influence over oneself or others. NLP is used in performance management in the workplace through coaching to promote and support personal growth or to overcome difficulties. It enables companies to align individuals to a desired strategy by enabling people to break habits, activate unused potential and build awareness through enhanced communication.
