Change

A progressional shift from one state of being or situation to another. Change can be caused by either external or internal forces. External forces for change include shifts in the economic environment, technology, the political situation and cost or supply of goods (the analysis of such external forces is also known as PESTLE analysis). Internal forces include changes in workplace composition, job technology, organisational structure, corporate culture or organisational objectives. In order to successfully manage transition and change, organisations often require additional change management resources.
