PRINCE2 Foundation Course

The PRINCE2 Foundation Course covers the syllabus of the PRINCE2 Foundation Level and prepares participants for the PRINCE2 Foundation examination. The course is accredited through OGC (formerly CCTA).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This foundation course is designed for project managers, team leaders and team members with responsibility for or involvement in any type of projects.

COURSE PROFILE

The relationship between a project and its business case

Detailed explanation of the PRINCE2™ processes, components and techniques

Roles and associated tasks and responsibilities within a PRINCE2™ project

Structure and contents of a product focused project plan

The management of a project relative to the project plan

Definition, management and acceptance of work packages

Learning objectives

  • Understand and use the most important concepts of the PRINCE2™ method
  • Monitor a project within the boundaries of the project plan
  • Participate effectively in a project in accordance with the PRINCE2™ method

Prerequisites

It is desirable but not essential that delegates have some experience of working on projects. Some reading material is provided prior to the event and is expected to be read in full before attending the course.

The Examination

The PRINCE2™ Foundation examination is a 75 multiple choice question paper to be completed in one hour.

Describe and apply all facets of the project processes
Monitor the objectives of a project
Identify and control risks
Apply the essential adjustments needed to respond to changes in the environments
